I’ve been getting myself bored to death over the past week with absolutely nothing to do.
Yesterday was quite different though! AHA!
I picked up Kyle for a day’s out which was planned only in a matter of minutes, we were to go to Chamarel. I had quite something else also in mind; I was to get that downhill road at Plaine Champagne! 
:D. The last time I drove there was a few weeks ago when I attended the Rally along with James [ see post a couple of entries below ].
Kyle proposed to get the hill descent on cam, we managed to get 3 short clips along with 2 very close shaves past a 4×4 (clip 1) and a car (clip 2).
NOTICE : DO N.O.T view the vids if you have any heart problems or if you do not tolerate reckless driving. You’ve been warned :). It was a one time thing (a) I wanted to have some fuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnn. (a).
That’s it for cars, for now :P. For about the day we spent mostly as typical tourists :P.
I resumed driving normally after the downhill. I swear!
We went to the Chamarel Waterfall, took some shots there - even if the waterfall wasn’t that much of an impression due to the lack of water.
Next stop : The 7 Coloured Earth.
*AWWWWWWWWWWWW* The turtlesssssssssssssssssssss.
I don’t know why I took this pic o.O. They just seemed to look nice like that :).
Next stop : well.. we didn’t have any other place in mind to go! So I just kept driving and stopped a couple of times to admire the breathtaking views.
It’s a pity though that the following pics do not do justice to the actual view which was much more beautiful, blame me for not being a good photograph [ and for using a low end digi-cam ].
The New Year in Mauritius wouldn’t really be the same without the flowering of the “flamboyants”, Kyle was looking for some to take some shots along the road, we didn’t find any that were good enough, until we were nearing our way home - he spotted some nice looking “flamboyants” along the way to Albion.
By the end of the day, I said to myself : Damn. This country isn’t so bad after all, actually, MAURITIUS IS BEAUTIFUL, it’s mostly us, the people who spoil it. Duh.
I wanted to have my car in the shot as well. so.. hihihihih I like the result :D.
So, I guess this is gonna be my last entry for 2006.
