Guys Day Out

Category: General |

My last saturday.

Shailen, Ben and myself set off in the morning for what was supposed to be a day of fishing. I did go on my first ever fishing trip with the same guys some time back! We were in the Western part of the island the first time, we opted to go further down this time around Le Morne and Baie Du Cap. [ Beb didn’t want to accompany me! She feared she would get bored >..> *hrem* ]

I got some shots of the day, but as usual - most of them didn’t come out as expected :( duh.

I don’t really know what I was trying to do with this one :D but I like it, with the blurry background.

Our last stop was at some place named ‘Sancho Island’ if am not wrong. See below.

There were loads of these ‘galets’ rocks over there, they are so nice to the feel, smooth and warm!

On the ‘island’ itself I found this particular piece good to shoot at, with only this part hanging over the water [ which actually overlooks the open sea itself with high currents! DANGER! ]

Oh! Also I spotted this there! That’s part a ship anchor! How it got there, we couldn’t figure out and it sure had to be H.E.A.V.Y as we were messing around with it and it wouldn’t even budge a bit!

Oh.. and how did the fishing go? Since we were supposed to go fishing… well.. Ben managed to catch one fish :D but he let it go, it was kinda small! (a)… Again.. Not much luck as compared to my first fishing experience :D .

    I wasn’t afraid to get bored!:o

I just don’t know how to fish and I was feeling kinda *eewww* to touch the bait.

I remember you managed to catch a baby fish the first time you guys went out fishing :D

May be Beb needs to learn “Fly Fishing”, Not for “A” type persona :-)

Love the blue in the photos! Very soothing!

I’ve never tried fishing before but I have an idea that it’s interesting and requires a lot of patience.

    The water looks so inviting.
I could always sit for hours & look beyond the sea. :)

Beb: You missed some nice views anyway! DUH!

    Dodo: uh… o.O….

Kyels: Too bad my pictures can’t give a true of the real blue out there! It was much better than in the pics!

Jemima: The water was great :D I paddled in it for some time while sitting on the rocks :P

I said Fly Fishing because you don’t use worm or meat as bait but a man-made fly. You have to be patient and know how to ‘read’ the water. Remember the movie ” aRiver runs through it” with Brad Pitt
