Rally Citroen - Abel : Day 1

The local car rally season is over! *sighs*

The last stage was run this weekend over 2 days comprising of 7 runs: 3 on Saturday and 4 on Sunday.

This entry relates to the 1st day - the stage was set in the region of Le Val somewhere in the south eastern part of the island. It was my first experience at such an event, the past rallies I’ve attended were mainly slaloms which take place on shopping parks. This time it was the real thing! :).

The drivers and their cars were presented as usual at the Trianon Shopping park before the start of the stages at Le Val. I made a short clip of Xavier’s Toyota Rav 4 GT. He’s been my fav for this season, however, the Rav 4 met up with a problem on the very first run of the stage. Too bad :(. Many people were expecting him to be among the contenders for this rally group. Hope he’ll be back for next season. :).

Now the pics I’ve taken for the few hours I was there. Most of the pics I took had major flaws with them :(. I messed up with my settings, I managed to get a few decent ones though! *phew*

I particularly like the following 2 shots :). The scenery looks good even if the main focus is not on the cars.
